The fine people at Chaotic Customs have been tirelessly working on a stunning show truck they will have on display at the SEMA 2013 show.
The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It is a trade-only show with the best in class automotive specialty products, manufactures, and builders represented.
The guys at Chaotic Customs are friendly and focused with an eye for design. They have been working on a 1940 Ford Pickup Truck they will enter into a number of judged contests, they are confident their fine craftsmanship has created a winner.
Townsend is proud to be a part of this build with our Classic Antique Cowhide on the interior.
We are excited to see the final reveal of the finished beautiful truck.

The NBAA Convention in Las Vegas opens today and Townsend is excited to be a part of it.
The Townsend Leather Booth #N5124 came all together yesterday with lots of beautiful leathers and exciting pieces to browse.

We will be bringing our fall fashion trend inspired Lace Weave
“Townsend Leather is officially launching a new product line inspired by the fall fashion trend of lace at NBAA 2013, called Lace Weave.
Always watching the runways for inspiration, Townsend realized that lace is back in fashion and has adapted this trend to leather so that this romantic and timeless look can be incorporated into aircraft interiors.
Lace Weave by Townsend combines the delicacy associated with lace with the durability and performance of highest quality leather.
Townsend’s Lace Weave is a gaufrage embossing that is done on center cut hides of 45 – 50 SF average size, with no pattern match lines. There are multiple finish effects and techniques that can be applied to the Lace Weave pattern including hand-tippings and antique effects. Lace Weave comes standard in various colorways including browns, charcoals, off-whites, and blues and custom colors are available as always from Townsend Leather, along with assurance of conformance to flammability requirements.
Currently a contender for Interior Design Magazine’s Best of the Year Awards new textiles category, we predict that Lace Weave will be a popular choice for interiors in the coming months.”
Townsend will also be showcasing new Leather Institute care and cleaning products. You can see firsthand the magic and expert skill the scientists at The Leather Institute can perform to bring your leather back to its original life or keeping it looking beautiful longer. Leather care, cleaning, service, maintenance, and training experts will be on-hand at the Townsend booth to answer questions, show off the new products, discuss training opportunities and give demonstrations.
Townsend will also have a plethora of other new and exciting leathers, beautiful displays to keep your inspired and plenty of interest in connecting with you and having some passionate conversation.
Townsend is truly passionate about leather, luxury and design and is always excited to be able to show those passions at events like the NBAA. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Last week concluded the 2014 New York City Fashion Week and it was full of excitement, trends, and everything needed to influence the world of fashion and design in the coming months.
Some of the most notable trends were things we had been noticing ourselves before Fashion Week.
Leather, lace, geometric patterns and stripes, and bright colors were all on display on the runway.
We couldn’t help but notice the similarity to our Tweed Woven
Bright colors, especially blue are the new go to pop of color against the variety of grays.
Leather, leather and lace. Leather is such staple of design and fashion forward thinking – it is no surprise to see it continually being used in new ways to stay in the forefront of fashion.
We talked about the leather and lace trend a couple weeks ago as well
A shift from the norm of black as the central color/non-color, white was the most visible color.

Last week Townsend was very pleased to have a visit from our Shanghai representative team, Qilin.

Nina and the team got to get in depth look at many of the new products and process happen all around Townsend and got to spend time with many of the employees. They were very impressed with everything that saw and all the people they met. They are really a part of the Townsend family and have done, and will continue to do, great things for Townsend.
