Our brand new Pops Of Color selection has been grabbing a lot of attention lately!
We introduced this colorful selection just recently at NBAA and BDNY and it has been met with bright smiles and bursts of interest. This collection of colorful leathers was hand chosen to be the perfect accent selection for stunning designs. It features a range of textures, sheens, and products.
Taj Gaufrage, Taj, Classic, and Excel cowhides all make this a diverse and fun collection.
This selection of colorful Pop colors is bright and fun and eye catching. With just a small bit of trim, or interesting placement, these colors can bring new life to a bland design and can balance perfectly with a gray or darker scheme.
Of course Townsend is no stranger to COLOR We love keeping things bright and eye catching!

Since it has become an annual tradition around here, all the Townsend Partners took a moment out of their day – to list out a couple of the things they are Thankful for.
This has been a truly amazing year at Townsend and one that has produced lots of thankful moments for all of us.
Talking with a few folks about thankful things, and some of the more significant moments throughout this year of many of our partners: losing loved ones, car crashes, dealing with sickness and disease, marriages, babies, new houses… (so much happens in a year!), it is humbling and nearly overwhelming to think of all the moments, things, and people to be thankful for.
Below of a listing of some of the things Townsend Partners are thankful for. This is just a small sampling, the list could go on and on forever.
Speaking on behalf of everyone at Townsend, we are thankful for a successful year, having such a great place to come every day, and such a great team to work with.
Speaking personally, it is easy to see why this “thankful list” is so long and gets filled up so quickly. The people here at Townsend are truly impressive folks. Each one with their own passions and unique takes on life, but coming together each day to create something that is even greater than the sum of its great parts.

This is not a marketing ploy, or a sales pitch – but there is no other way to say it, other than to say it – when it all comes down to it, the one thing Townsend Leather is most thankful for is YOU our Townsend Leather Customers, Partners, and Fans.
It is true.
Townsend loves working for our customers, we love creating new things, we love working hard getting our hands dirty, we love saving problems, being challenged, seeing smiles, hearing exclaims of delight, and getting customers just what they want. Townsend has been recognized twice this year as being a truly great place to work. Both of these awards were given because our people said they love it here. You can’t really love a place, unless you love what they stand for, what they do, and who they do it for. Luckily we work with some of the greatest reps and customers in the world, who are doing luxurious, incredible, beautiful things. Customers that make positive change in the world and make everything look better while doing it. Customers that love design and leather as much as we do.
So to you dear customers Partners, we sincerely THANK YOU. Please keep making the world a lovely-ier, leathery-er, even-better-designed place and we will gladly support you along the way – with a smile on our face and solutions in our pocket.

What a whirlwind of a show! BDNY 2014 was a busy, fun, exciting time for Townsend Leather.
The Javits Center was packed with excited and interesting designers, from when the doors opened, right up to (and even a bit past) when they shut the lights off at the end of the last day.
The Townsend team is in a happy sampling frenzy, following up on all the great conversations and sample request of the new things we showed.
Our new Corked Cowhide and Pops of Color selections were both big attention-get-ers during this show. And our colorful booth was busy throughout the show with conversation and requests for new and classic leathers. These photos were all taken before the doors opened and the flood of activity started.

This is always a great show for Townsend and we love having these opportunities to spend face time with our customers, team, and fans. We are eagerly looking forward to next years show!
BDNY is just around the corner!
The Jacob K Javits Convention Center in New York is hosting this fantastic gathering of design loving folks, and Townsend Leather is excited to be there once again.
We are looking forward to showing off some of the new things we have been working on and spending time with all the excited customers, designers, and Townsend fans that we see each show.
This year we have been hard at work listening to customers desires, getting ahead of design trends, and doing a lot of R&D to create a few new selections.
We have just recently launched three new leather collections at BDNY you will be able to get your hands right on them and even take home samples.
One of the most exciting featured collections is our Corked Cowhide. This spirited new leather is stunning with its unique non-directional embossing pattern, that resembles a wine cork, and it’s selection of pop colors. Its popularity has already allowed it to be chosen as a finalist for the Interior Design Best of Year in the Hospitality: Textiles category.
We will also be showcasing the subtle sophisticated beauty of our Softina Cowhide. This is a true leather-lovers leather. Supremely soft and made from the best of the best possible hides.
Fifth Avenue Cowhide is another featured new collection. As a companion scheme to our Softina, but with proprietary glaze finish that gives it a luxurious luster.
But that’s not all! We have launched those three new collections but we have a couple other selections to showcase this year as well. You’ll have to stop by our booth #141 to see everything, but here is a sneak peak…
POP! Looking to grab attention, make a statement, leave an impression? Our Pops of Color compilation is for you! A variety of products in an eye-poping color range. These colors will make your designs really sing!
But maybe you like something a bit more discrete, something a little more ‘in the shadows’? Our Shades of Grey collection is sultry and mysterious with its variety of products and textures all in a sensual range of popular grey tones.
Something for everyone, especially the discerning designer who knows every detail they are looking for – our Great Grains selection. A grain for every taste from subtle and natural to big and bold, in some of our most popular interior colors, there is something for everyone.

So much fun!
Halloween has always been a fun time at Townsend Leather, ans this year was the topper so far! We formalized a Halloween Costume Contest and had lots of fun with it. There were costumed folks all over the buildings, all day long.
There were thrills and spills (just water balloons) and the competition was fierce, and it all added up to a great fun day! See all the fun pics and the voted winners below. We had an overwhelming response of votes and it was all worth it, because the winners brought home some truly fantastic prize baskets.
Yeah, he had to explain it a lot – but when you get it, you get it. (He is “identity theft”).
He had to explain a lot too (and was the cause of the before-mentioned spills), he is an aquarium.
Of course the work didn’t stop, we know how to have fun – but we get stuff done while doing it!
We also got to enjoy another annual Halloween Townsend tradition, we open the doors to Partners families and have trick or treating all throughout Townsend. This is really the highlight of Halloween at Townsend, seeing all the kiddos in their fun costumes. We had lots of kids and families come through and gather treats. These two below were real show-stoppers though!
Lots of votes came in and were reviewed and tallied and reviewed again. It was close, but four partners came out victorious!

It was such fun and many of us are already planning our costumes for next year!
Last week members of the Townsend Leather family from around the globe meet together for an exciting and productive week in Orlando at the largest aviation event in the US, NBAA.
Townsend’s booth was perpetually busy showing customers and Townsend fans everything new that we have been working on and catching up with friends/customers (one and the same).
We loved having booth visitors play our interactive personality game, get their hands on the new leathers we had on display, and just sit and chat a while. We had so much leather and so much to look at, it was easy to spend a long time in the booth “shopping” for samples.
We showed some brand-new, still in R&D, not publicly available woven samples that were a big hit. As were our new collections Corked Cowhide, Fifth Avenue, and Softina. People were also drawn to our eye catching Pops of Color collections its companion Shades of Grey and our newest way to choose your perfect grain pattern – Great Grains.
It was exciting to see Townsend Leather spread throughout the exhibit hall in a few different exhibitor booths like Constant Aviation and Epic Aircraft.
And it was equally as exciting to have the ‘extended family’ there with our partners from The Leather Institute and Studio Vizto. The Leather Institute was very busy providing expertise and insight into leather care. Studio Vizto a stunning precision crafted chair on display. The chair was revered by all that passed by it, treating it like artwork – nervous to get too close.
It was all around a great show, with many deep connections made, lots of laughs and lots of fun. We love having the opportunity to spend time with customers in the busy, but still intimate setting catching them up on what’s new at Townsend and listening to their needs. We are already looking forward to next year!
We also loved seeing the KISS cover band! They were great!
