With a mission to make working with Townsend Leather ever easier for you, our customers, we have solidified our presence on the East Coast with new representation in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
The newest members to the Townsend Leather family are Bruce and Kim Heins of Heins Marketing.
Heins Marketing, has been delighting customers since 2000 and brings to Townsend Leather well over a decade of experience in the greater Philadelphia area working with a variety of customers. This includes prominent hotels and casinos in the tri-state market such as Revel, Bally’s, Harrah’s, Loews and Marriott, universities such as Penn State, Lehigh and Temple and healthcare facilities like Masonic Village, Simpson Meadows and Presbyterian Senior Living. Several years ago Heins Marketing committed to working primarily with USA manufacturers which continue the commitment to quality products and services while also promoting methods which reduce harmful impact upon our environment. The ability to provide lightning quick responses to client requests, adapt to change and “roll with the punches” are keys to the success of Heins Marketing.
Heins Marketing approaches their work with the goal of partnering with clients so they better understand client needs and can recommend the right product for the application.
Bruce and Kim bring a sense of calm and a sense of focused personal attention to their work, which makes them a real delight to work with.

With a focus on the future, Townsend Leather supported the local community in a county-wide Career Apprenticeship Day.
Working closely with the local community college and many of the local schools, Townsend setup a booth to converse with and educate students.
Tim Beckett, SVP, and Ben Towne, Human Resources Generalist, of Townsend Leather were excited to help the students understand the high level of work they can engage with locally and enjoyed getting them excited about putting their future knowledge to use in an interesting field.
Townsend’s booth proved to be so popular among the young students that the photographer was unable to get through the crowds to get more photos.

Townsend Leather’s Earth Week celebrations continue on indefinitely, but our formally organized events finished up last week. Closing the week with beautiful weather as we spread out across the Townsend campus and the surrounding community area to clean and beautify. 
The spring air finally settled in around us in upstate New York, which made for a great day of good times, good food, good conversation, and especially good cleaning.
We collected a lot of trash, keeping it away from fresh water sources and wildlife.
Townsend Leather is located in a beautiful area already, so it isn’t that hard to make things look great, but the work this team did was really noticeable. Townsend Leather is proud of its hardworking, environmentally conscious team and the work we did last week.
Yesterday, Earth Day 2013, marked the start of Townsend Leather’s annual Earth Week.
Townsend Leather aims to celebrate Earth Day every day, but give our efforts extra attention during this week each year.
Exploring more organic food options, utilizing reusable mugs, and growing our recycling efforts are just a couple of the small things we focus on during this week. We also have invested in dramatically more efficient machinery and made big steps in finding ways to reduce our overall energy consumption.
This week’s focus on making a positive environmental impact all leads up to our annual Clean-Up day, where, as a company we go outside and spread out to pick up and beautify the area around Townsend’s buildings and all around the community, including our local walking path, the Rail Trail.
We hope you will join us this week in striving to make a positive environmental impact.
