Yesterday, Earth Day 2013, marked the start of Townsend Leather’s annual Earth Week.

Townsend Leather aims to celebrate Earth Day every day, but give our efforts extra attention during this week each year.

Exploring more organic food options, utilizing reusable mugs, and growing our recycling efforts are just a couple of the small things we focus on during this week.  We also have invested in dramatically more efficient machinery and made big steps in finding ways to reduce our overall energy consumption.

This week’s focus on making a positive environmental impact all leads up to our annual Clean-Up day, where, as a company we go outside and spread out to pick up and beautify the area around Townsend’s buildings and all around the community, including our local walking path, the Rail Trail.

We hope you will join us this week in striving to make a positive environmental impact.

We just can’t stop growing!

Following our desire to make working with Townsend Leather ever easier for our customers, we have grown again to include a rep for the Los Angeles, Ventura County, and Santa Barbara County areas.

The newest member to the Townsend Leather family is, Sean McMahon.

Sean’s Studio McMahon was launched in 2006 to represent high-quality, multi-line fabrics, furniture, wallcoverings and lighting.  With a deep understanding of the value of building and maintaining relationships, Sean knows clients time is valuable and he focuses on making sure he presents products he knows they want and will use.  He does this by maintaining a limited and focused portfolio of complementary product lines, which allows him to deliver personalized service and support to his clients.

Covering both sides of the spectrum, from residential to hospitality, Sean has 28 years of experience in the interior design community, with well-known companies, serving a variety of roles.

Sean is an active family-man with his longtime partner, Jim and 2 grown children, he is excitedly looking forward to his daughter’s wedding later this year.  He enjoys cooking and traveling and pursues another of his hobbies, cycling, while showing support for a cause he is passionate about, as a regular participant in AIDS/LifeCycle – 545 mile ride from SF to LA.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to partner with Townsend Leather to deliver on my clients’ needs and to enhance Studio McMahon’s portfolio.” says Sean

Townsend is equally excited to call him one of our team.

The much sought-after Soucie Horner, Ltd recently designed a residential living space that incorporated Townsend Leather in an interesting way.

Our Artesano Woven Antique Lace leather was used for the rug in the space.  The rug is accented with our Couture White Pearl as the rug binding.

Yet another exciting design that Townsend Leather is proud to have been a part of.
