2017 has already been a very colorful year! We look forward to finding the beauty and colors to come for the rest of 2017.
Our expert crafts-team of color matchers is always on the look out for colors to create and they rely on our on-trend, in-the-industry, always-aware network of reps, customers, and fans to report back on color and design trends.
For 2017 we loved browsing color-focused companies choices for their Colors of the Year. Three stood out to us as especially on-trend and ready-to-use for stunning designs.
Pantone, Greenery
Of course, the powerhouse of the color-world, Pantone, has shown off their Color Of The Year as “Greenery”.
This bright yet earthy color inspires a sense of refreshment and natural feeling. Our team quickly got to work matching this color and compiling a collection of colors inspired by the color Greenery. Order Greenery Inspired Samples
Our team also went to work building additional collections, inspired by Pantone’s Color Pairing suggestions.
Benjamin Moore, Shadow
Benjamin Moore‘s Color of the Year choice sits almost in contrary reaction to Pantone’s. Pantone’s bright and natural is here contrasted with more subtle and moody. Sherwin-Williams, Poised Taupe
Poised Taupe is Sherwin-Williams‘ choice of Color of The Year. Just as the name would suggest this color is calm and assured. Poised Taupe fits with any design scheme, but doesn’t need to fade into the background. Our team pulled together a dynamic yet reserved collection of Poised Taupe inspired leathers. This is a fun raising and a fundraising event for us. It is being headed up and organized by Kevin and Louise Kucel, with help from our Moments Team and is the first opportunity this year for our new HUGS Program/Team to get involved in making a positive impact on our community.

Theresa DaBiere-Craig has been a Townsend Partner for years, providing our team with wisdom, teachings, and trainings. She will be working again with us closely throughout this year. She is a super fan of Townsend and we are very much super fans of her. Theresa and her family were struck with terrible tragedy this past summer when her son, Sean, died while on the Sacandaga Lake. Sean Craig was loved by his family and friends and was a highly respected individual who wanted to just make the world a happier place. This summer saw many tragedies on our lakes, and the death of Sean has inspired Theresa and her family to take action. They are working to make our lakes safer for all of us.
We are hosting this community-wide Bowling Tournament to help raise funds for their cause, the Sean Craig Memorial Fund, https://seancraigmemorialfund.wordpress.com/

Turning tragedy into action is an incredibly difficult thing to do, and when it happens within our community it inspires us to take action ourselves. Townsend Leather Partners were stunned and moved by the numerous lake accidents that occurred over this past summer, and the tragic death of Sean Craig especially affected us.
So, we are doing a small part in helping take action toward his family’s cause. The Sean Craig Memorial Fund is on a mission to make our lakes safer, “Our mission is to raise funds to support a local dive team and in addition be able to provide funds for sonar equipment to use for future operations.” Because safety and support are a never-ending challenge, they will continue to grow their mission when each goal has been met.

As a small, but heartfelt gesture of bringing our community together and doing what we can to help fund their noble mission, we are hosting a Bowling Tournament.
Anyone is welcome to donate, sponsor, or participate
(some participants will be drinking adult beverages, so this event may not be appropriate for all ages)
Our Bowling Tournament will happen at Perry Lanes on February 11th
8 Pin “No-Tap” Team Format Bowling
Tournament starts at 1, but sign-in, lane assignment, and warm-up starts at 12:30
4-5 Person Teams
$20 Per Person
All Proceeds go to the Sean Craig Memorial Fund
The day will include raffles (50/50 & more!), Bowling, fun, laughs, and memories.

Designers at Elliott Aviation were so pleased with their final aviation interior design utilizing Townsend Leather, they couldn’t wait to share images with us.
The aircraft uses our new, Stacy Garcia® Kinetic Cowhide: Kinetic Electric White on side walls and seat inserts as well as custom Pinnacle Cowhide Electric White to coordinate on seat.
Our leather is used in the most stunning of projects and we love it when customers share their finished design back to us.
