Townsend Leather is proud to announce a new partnership with the design experts at The JCF Group.
The JCF Group is a leading multi-line manufacturer’s rep-group providing products and finishes to the commercial, hospitality, multi-family, and senior living markets. Townsend and JCF have only just met, but the passion for design, the sense of fun, the love of leather, and the energy to make great things happen has us all feeling like kindred pals for many many years.
Industry veteran Jeff Fuge established the JCF group in 1994 and since has been working closely with owners, designers, and purchasing agents to bring their project dreams to life.
They, like Townsend, are committed to excellence and the 30+ years of design experience has solidified the JCF Group’s position as a trusted and reliable partner across the Maryland, D.C., Delaware, and Virginia territories.

We are proud and honored for this recognition. With the amount of focus and passion we put into our team, it is not completely surprising, but it is never taken for granted. We love what we do, who we do it for, and who we do it with. And we are glad to have the incredibleness of our team and who they are together to be shared across the region and across the country through these awards and publications.

With so many awards and so much recognition, it would be easy for us to lose sight of the value of each of these mentions and moments. But all of us at Townsend Leather take it to heart, we are proud to be Townsend.
We always look forward to the award ceremony and chose this year to make sure it was not just a leadership team that attended the intimate event but included two newer Townsend Leather Partners who already have been vocal and impactful at growing Townsend’s sense of culture and who we are even further.
We are honored and humbled and will continue to work at who we are, so we can continue to be recognized and help be a positive influence on the world around us.

We are looking forward to the HD Expo in Las Vegas this year. We have so much to show off, our craftspeople have been hard at work crafting new products, specialty items, and filling up our stock lots.
There is not much that we love more than the opportunity to be face to face with our customers and fans, talking leather, and relishing in the world of design which is why we are so excited for the upcoming HD Expo + Conference!

Happy Holidays from everyone at Townsend Leather
We hope you look back on 2023 with fondness and joy, but look forward to an even greater 2024.
At Townsend we closed out the year with a surprise quick-burst of joy-spreading as we passed out our annual “Lookback book”/yearbook and a Townsend-exclusive beer!
The beer was made by Partners for Partners with Townsend at its heart. Our own, Kevin Lindsley, who is also brewmaster at Stump City Brewing, handcrafted this beer from his own recipe, doing everything with passion for craft, and a mind on his Partners here at Townsend. Kevin did everything from the brewing to the canning and even made the label. Kevin brought other Partners into this passion project, getting brewing help and passionate-beer-knowledge from our own Jeremy Douglas, and the whole thing was the brainchild of Jared Eckler who continued to be the biggest supporter of wanting to connect the local Stump City community with Townsend’s and find a cool way to show love to our team.
Of course, we don’t want to leave anyone out at Townsend, so for those who can’t or do not drink alcohol, we also gathered Townsend-labeled sodas! Michelle, Maria, and Nina helped make that happen, and got hundreds of soda bottles relabeled as “Partners Pop”.
This year we also continued to explore our fascination of beer, chocolate, and leather together and have delicious luxury chocolates on hand to celebrate the holidays with. Our idea of Partners since its inception has always stood for Customers, Vendors, Fans, Connections, and Employees so we are proud to share our bounty with all of you as well, so let us know if you would like some chocolates or beer to enjoy through the start of the new year!

This is a recognition that we do not take lightly. It is something we strive for and are proud to be labeled as. Surveys go out to every employee, they are filled out and turned in to a third party, who pours over them, evaluates them, compares them to every other company, sorts, ranks, and then awards. So it really means something to us, that this award comes to us directly because of the words and insights of our people. Of all the places someone could work in the greater Albany capital region, we are confident and validated in knowing, Townsend Leather is one of the very best.
We care about what we do here and we care about each other. This award is an outward manifestation of our care about who we are, what we do, and who we are together.

At an invite-only Albany Business Review event, Townsend Leather was officially be recognized and honored as a Best Place to Work in all the Capital Region. It is something special to feel so proud of the place you work, and it is something even more special to see how shared that pride is. We had so many folks raise their hand on workplace, in voice, and email to say they would represent Townsend Leather at this event.
Of course, not everyone could go, but the act of so many stepping up and saying “I’m interested” is such an iconic example of who Townsend is. Townsend is full of action-takers, get-shit-done-doers, of people who care, who dare, who want to be part of something, and the response to this event is just one small example of that – of who we are and why we are the Best.
But a small group of dedicated and passionate Partners from a single department were able to go to represent Townsend. A department that overcame and even thrived through some personnel changes, a department that facilitated the growth of newer Partners into superstar status, a department that does a tremendous amount of behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything at Townsend moving, a department of fun, action, and connection. A department that just finished up “year-end” in record fashion and was able to even comment that through it all their “smile has never felt brighter”… the bright-smiling Accounting Team will be attending the event, to represent Townsend Leather and pick up our award on behalf of all of us.
The Accounting Team had an incredible time, full of laughs and memorable moments, all of Townsend was proud to have the represent us at the event.
