Our Sample Team get to put their hands on nearly everything Townsend makes, becoming experts on Townsend and our leathers, while simultaneously providing joy directly to our customers and designers around the world.

What we need…

Specifically, we are looking for someone who:

• Can immersive themselves in Townsend’s culture and core values
• Roll up their sleeves, kind of personality 
• Has an eye for organization, to help keep everything in its place and orders clear
• Has a passion for precision to make things clean and clear
• Can lift and carry leather rolls
• Can use stairs frequently
• Can use a die-cutting machine (we will train)
• Takes initiative to learn new skills and put them into action
• Works well on a team
• Dependable and show up for their co-workers

What it looks like…

This career path is one of reward and growth, your day-to-day tasks will look like:

• Cutting leather hides down into sample sizes
• Sorting leathers into appropriate bins and orders
• Working with multiple teams to keep things moving, Finish Stock, Sample Team, Customer Service…
• Labeling, moving, sorting, cutting, and handling leather samples which get sent to the most important designers and luxury locations around the world
• Hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm 
• A drug test will be required before being hired at Townsend (drug tests no longer test for Marijuana, only test for illegal drugs)
