Winter has been wintering hard here at our headquarters in Upstate New York. The cold temps, snow ❄️ and ice 🧊 have been taking a toll on our psyches, but we are immediately cheered when we see these bright colored pigskins coming through our factory.

Wishing you all a great weekend ending with the Super Bowl - enjoy watching the two teams toss around some pigskins 🏈 speaking of those!

Each year we are so fortunate to add such great talent and partners with tremendous potential to our team! We love to kick off our year in awards and superlatives for our Rookie of the Year and today we announced our winner 🥇 Patty Brown! Along with Olivia Eckler, Hannah Davis, Dante Sistrunk, Alyssa Quillan, Alexis Orshowitz, and Daniella Brown - Patty earned votes from all our partners as finalists for having a great impact in their first year with Townsend!
Patty hit the ground running at Townsend learning how to develop colors and color drum operation. Her passion and enthusiasm for her work, her growth, and that of those around her was infectious! She not only demonstrated great confidence, care, and acumen, but she made a very much needed practical impact allowing others to cross train or focus on other areas requiring attention. Her impact in presence and productivity was immediate and immense! Congratulations to Patty and our 6 other finalists, as well as the 19 other very deserving partners joining us in 2024! Special thanks to Ashley Capobianco (former ROY herself), our Human Resources Lead, (pictured in Cowboys gear next to Patty in first pic) for doing such a wonderful job picking, placing, and nurturing all of our employees growth and success.

Our Ancient Gaufrage Cowhide Pewter in Marrakech pattern for chairs going into the Cherokee Country Club in Tennessee @cherokeecountryclubtn. Marrakech pattern is such a great medium-scaled pattern and the multiple hand-tippings outline each of the floral motifs and enhance the beautiful textured grain of the leather itself.

This week we completed production on 2,500 SF of our Expressions Cowhide Saffron Red in Maze pattern. This leather is aniline-dyed, embossed, hand-tipped with a shimmery gold effect, and topcoated. The team did a beautiful job making this leather that is headed out the door for seating in a casino/hotel restaurant. It’s gonna be a show-stopping application and we can’t wait to see it completed!
